The Dunklin R-5 School District is proud to partner with area churches and other civic organizations to form BRAG, or Blackcats Reaching Academic Goals. The program provides volunteer tutors to help students who might be struggling academically. The program started in Fall 2014 offering tutoring on Tuesday and Thursdays under the leadership of Dalania Watson. Fall 2015 brought a change in leadership naming two Dunklin R-5 educators as the new Co-directors of the program. Michelle Liles, a 5th grade teacher at Pevely Elementary and Charissa Kappler, an educator at Taylor Early Childhood Center. Academic improvement for students participating in the program has been such a success, BRAG committee members are excited to add additional tutoring days and grades for Pevely Elementary students. The goal is to provide tutoring to students in 1st - 5th grade each afternoon Monday - Friday. With the increased opportunities for students, additional volunteers are requested. Volunteers are needed Monday thru Friday from 4 - 5 p.m.

Interested individuals are asked to contact Central Office for additional information or email Mrs. Liles at firstname.lastname@example.org. This is a great opportunity to partner with us on our mission of "Educating today for a better tomorrow".
