Get caught up with the Blackcat News.
A second gym is under construction at Herculaneum High School. The passage of a no-tax-rate-increase bond issue made this possible. The issue, which included new safe and secure entrances to Pevely Elementary School and Senn-Thomas Middle School, was approved by 76.1% of voters.
We were the last public school in Jefferson County to get turf field, but it was worth the wait.
Our school resource officer works full-time for the Dunklin R-5 School District. He is not a part of a local law enforcement agency but is commissioned by the district, as state law allows. He has the same authority as any police officer or deputy.
