2/9/10 - Blackcat P.R.I.D.E. Meeting Change

Blackcat P.R.I.D.E will be meeting at the Pevely Burger King at 6:30 p.m. tonight.


2/9/10 - Men's Basketball Games Cancelled

All games scheduled for February 9th have been cancelled due to inclement weather. The games have been rescheduled for February 11th.


School Board Meeting Rescheduled

The meeting of the Board of Education of the Dunklin R-V School District for Wednesday, February 17, has been cancelled. The meeting has been rescheduled for Monday, February 15, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the District Central Office.


Trivia Night

The Pevely Elementary Lil' CAT Club will be hosting its 1st Annual Trivia Night on Saturday, February 6, 2010. For more information or to sign up, click here.

Construction Photo Galleries

New construction has begun throughout the Dunklin R-V School District. Visit the HHS Football/Track HHS Football/Track Gallery, the STMS Renovations Gallery, and the Pevely Elementary Gallery pages to see pictures of the progress.


History of HHS Book Planned

Plans are underway for the Herculaneum High School Building History Book. The book is scheduled for publication in late 2010-early 2011 (depending on demolition of building). The book will be hard-bound and approximately 300 pages.

We are seeking former and current students to submit memories of the building (300 word limit) and photos for inclusion in the book. Submission of a photo and memory is free of charge.

The deadline for submissions of memories/photos will be December 1, 2009. The book will be available at an early-bird price of $50.00 until February 2010. The price after early-bird deadline will be $75.00.

Publication is subject to pre-sale response for the book.

Free and Reduced Meal Request

All parents/guardians of children who may qualify for free or reduced price meals are encouraged to request an application from any of the school offices. You may submit an application at any time during the school year. Once approved, students are entitled to both breakfast and lunch at no cost, for the remainder of the school year. The Board of Education has eliminated the cost for students who qualify for reduced price meals.

If you feel that you might qualify for these benefits, please request that an application be sent home with your student.


Academic requirements change

Effective July 1, 2009, the minimum academic standard for activity and sport eligibility has increased to 3.0 units of credit or 80 percent of the maximum allowable credits.. A student wishing to participate in band, choir, speech, Quiz Bowl or any athletics must pass 6 out of 7 classes. Students’ eligibility for fall 2009 will be determined by their grades this spring semester.
